The Quag, Sterling, Massachusetts
There are times I feel very privileged to catch the sunrise. This was one of those days. As if a fire had just been set in the pines in the distance, the sun began to rise painting the sky with rich color and reflecting on the still frozen Quag., I took two-hundred pictures in less than an hour and there was no way to fail. The birds seem to naturally recognize the beginning of a great day and fill the trees with song while the geese fly north over head. Yes, this morning was a gift.
