I have been shooting pictures every day for three seasons and already, I can tell that, except for travel, fall is absolutely the best time to take photographs. Not only is the light different in fall, shorter days with easier access to the magic hour, but the colors are just amazing. But it is fleeting for sure. This photograph is possible for about six days in a year because the leaves on trees bordering streams, bogs, swamps and this river fall quickly. Next week the reds and oranges you see here will be brown. This is the meandering Still Water River, Sterling, Massachusetts. Nikon D610, 1/60 second at f/19, ISO 100, 35mm (17-35mm) - 8368
